Issue Report - 19 September 2024
We are aware of an issue where the Balance is showing up as 0 and Wallet features are unavailable.
Again, it is an issue with electrum spv servers (used to retrieve balances and send transactions)
Your funds are completely safe - this does not affect your address or balance.

Issue Report - 2 June 2024
We are aware of an issue where the Balance is showing up as 0 and Wallet features are unavailable.
3 June 2024 – Wallet issues resolved
Description: This was due to the Electrum SPV server that is used to retrieve balance being non-responsive. We are working on adding additional servers as back-up and will add better messaging within the wallet. Your Auroracoins are always safe, even when the wallet is not functioning. We will release a new version of the extension with improvements this month. Thank You – Auroracoin101 team
SETTING A PASSWORD
Setting a password in your browser-wallet is very important. It allows the wallet to encrypt your private keys. If you encrypt you wallet, then your private key is not accessible to anyone who gains access to your computer. Also, the wallet never sends your private keys to anyone. To add a password you should follow these steps:
-
- Click on the tools menu button.
-
- Select “Set Password/Encrypt” menu option.
-
- Enter a new password and confirm it.
-

If you have a password set already, you will have a checkbox option to remove the password. If you check this option your password protection will be removed. Otherwise, you can enter your old password, and then set a new password.

SENDING AURORACOINS
Sending Auroracoins from the browser wallet is simple. You can send Auroracoins to an address that someone sends you in an email or other type of message. Also, when you browse the internet, if you visit a page with an Auroracoin address, when you place your mouse cursor on the address a popup bubble will appear to show you some information about the address.
Also, you can use anchored links (hotlinks) built into a website to send or receive Auroracoins. If you are a web-developer, you can use a link on your website that looks like the example below. When a user has the Auroracoin browser wallet installed, clicking on that link will provide them with a popup form to send you Auroracoins.
